Rachael Vonderhaar of Camden, Ohio was elected to serve as the secretary / treasurer of the Wheat Foods Council during the annual winter board meeting.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to serve on the leadership team for the Wheat Foods Council,” said Vonerhaar. “I am excited to share the story of the U.S. wheat farmers to American consumers.”

Vonderhaar is a 5th generation grain farmer and the secretary of the Ohio Small Grains Checkoff.

“We are very excited that Rachael was elected by her peers for this leadership position,” said Tadd Nicholson, executive director of Ohio Corn & Wheat. “She is passionate about promoting agriculture and the benefits of wheat foods.”

The Wheat Foods Council is an industry-wide partnership dedicated to increasing domestic wheat foods consumption through nutrition information, research, education and promotional programs. The council provides health professionals and select influencer groups with valid science-based reasons to recommend wheat and wheat-based foods and to encourage their inclusion in a healthful eating plan
